CAR RIPPED APART

Youth Badly Hurt (N.Z. Press Association) WAIPUKURAU, March 3. A 19-year-old youth, Richard Maurice Lange, of Taumarunui, was admitted to the Waipukurau Hospital yesterday afternoon after the side of his car had been torn out in a collision with a truck loaded with metal. The truck is owned by T. and M. Riley, Ltd., of Hastings. It was driven by Sam Kurupo, of Pakipaki. Mr Lange’s injuries include a fractured pelvis, badly lacerated face and fractures of facial bones. He was on the seriously ill list this morning.
