Mutton Prices Firmer (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 4. There was a revival of interest in New Zealand mutton resulting in firmer quotations and increased prices, on London’s Smithfield Market this week, says the Meat Board's information service. The main grade of hoggets (49/56 lb) was quoted at 15d to 15jd per lb and wethers at 14d to 141 d per lb. Ewes were quoted at 14d to 14jd per lb —an increase of a penny on last week. There was a moderate inquiry for New Zealand lamb, with quotations unchanged from last week. New Zealand beef was not quoted. Range of Prices Quotations for New Zealand lamb were:—
