SYDNEY The market continued to follow a slight downward trend on the Sydney Stock Exchange yesterday. The base metals section of the market was slightly easier. N.Z. Reserves £52.4m. (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 4. Net overseas assets of the New Zealand banking system on February 23, were £52.4m, compared with £50.9m on February 16 and £6Bm on February 24, 1965. These figures were announced today by the Reserve Bank.

Business Personal Mr K. G. Child, of New Plymouth has been appointed sales manager of British Paints (N.Z.), Ltd.

Norvlc Footwear.— Steady final ordinary dividend of 5 per cent Is payable April 18; ex dividend April 11. Total year’s dividend is steady at 9 per cent. The new share issue was allotted yesterday.—(P.A.)
