GUNNERA MANICATA, which can grow to enormous proportions, is often mistaken for an outsize rhubarb or belonging to the same family. It actually belongs to the water milfoil family, a group of aquatic or terrestrial herbs. Gunnera manicata is useful for planting on the water’s edge, but because of its size, requires ample space for development.
