Satinette Excels
"The Press'* Special Service DUNEDIN. Satinette completed her preparations for the President’s Handicap, the first leg of the Cromwell Jockey Club’s T.A.B. double, with an impressive trial at Wingatui yesterday. The trestles were 40 feet out on the course proper, and the track, although dead, was in splendid order after rain. Ridden by her race rider, S. B. Robertson, she dashed over six furlongs in Imin 19sec, the last half-mile in 53 3-ssec. Lucymal (R. A. Low), after a slow beginning, made ground to finish on terms with Pease <P. J. Silver), clear of Steplite (B. P. Kennedy) at the end of five furlongs in Imin 6 4-ssec, the last three furlongs In 41 2-ssec.
Steplite appeared to be gal loping easily and was not ex tended.
