AQUATIC SPORTS AREA AT BENMORE.—A successful speedboat regatta, which, included New Zealand championship races, was recently held on this small man-made lake at the foot of the Benmore dam. Some of the boats are seen returning to their moorings after a race. Created and landscaped by the Ministry of Works, this recreation area is likely to become the venue of many water sports.
