Pay Rise For T.A.B.
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 8. Salary increases ranging from £l4 to £4O a year for males and £l4 to £3O for females are provided in an award released today by the Arbitration Court for clerical and office employees of the Totalisator Agency Board. The new scale for males ranges from £370 in the first year to £925 in the tenth year and for females £370 to £745 in the eighth year. There is ®n increase of 3d to 8s s|d an hour for casual workers. The award incorporates a conciliation agreement and pay rates are retrospective to December 7. Footwear Repairers Wage increases of 4}d an hour for males and 5s 6d a week for females are included in an award issued by the Count for footwear repairers and bespoke workers. The award applies to New Zealand apart from Otago and Southland. The minimum new male rate is 8s Id an hour with 8s 2d for bespoke workers and £lO 17s 6d a week minimum for females. Ths award is retrospective to December 13.
