SANK IN THE PACIFIC.—The Liberian freighter Rockfort seen sinking in heavy seas about 1000 miles north-west of Honolulu. The Greek crew of the 7247-ton freighter prepared to abandon ship and a United States transport ship stood by for rescue. The vessel’s hull was badly cracked. She later sank.
