Kiwi Seeks Clearance
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. The former New Zealand Rugby League centre, C. A. Eastlake, has applied to the Auckland Rugby League for a clearance to play again in Australia as he will be returning there at the end of next month for business reasons. Eastlake spent seasons there in 1962 and 1963 and will return to the same club, Goulburn United, and join his former Eastern United teammate R. C. Ackland. The 1961 Kiwi R. S. Cooke will leave for Australia today to play for Southern Suburbs Club in Brisbane. Cooke and his family will stay in Australia for at least two years. Cooke played for Southern Districts last year.
