N.Z. AUTHOR RETURNS
11 Years In Fleet Street
“The Press’* Special Service ROTORUA, Feb. 7. The New Zealand author, Mr David Ballantyne, has returned from London after 11 years as a Fleet street journalist and television scriptwriter. Mr Ballantyne is staying with his mother in Rotorua and will take up a position in Auckland later this month. He plans to publish a new novel entitled “A Friend of the Family” in August or September. He describes the book as a city novel. While in London, Mr Ballantyne wrote several television scripts. One, a play called “Passing Through,” won second prize in an international competition run by Associated Television.
