Garnett Tour

• Two Canterbury groups will join the Auckland bom singer Gale Garnett in her three* week New Zealand tour for the N.Z.B.C. They are the Doug Caldwell Quartet and The Picasso Trio. Gale Garnett has lived in the United States since she was nine and in the past five years has become one of the leading American folk singers. She studied at New York's High School of the Performing Arts and as a straight actress appeared in productions of "The World of Susie Wong," “Guys and Dolls" and “Showboat."

Her acting areer also included leads in American television shows such as “Bonanza," “the Dick Powell Show” and “Sunset Strip." The show will be in Christchurch from March 10 to 15.
