The Dutch conductor, Willem van Otterioo, has been appointed chief conductor for 1967-68 of the Melbourne Symphony, the Australian orchestra which performed at the 1965 Pan Pacific Arts Festival. Otterioo will spend five months each year, May to September, in Melbourne.
