HUSHAWAY: Being switched from sprinting after a second to Palisade in Craven Plate on Saturday. Fifth in January Hep., Im.. at Trentham. RED SIREN: Solid finisher for close second to General Gilbert on Saturday. Logical favourite. BAAL HANAN: Ran up to solid southern form for third in Midsummer Handicap. Place i chance at least. SKI: Narrow winner of the highweight on first dav. will find this stronger, but rates consideration with 7-0. GOLDEN VANITY: Pulled hard in the Midsummer Handicap, and tired to fifth. Prospect here if she settles early. STANDOUT: Disappointing win favourite in Midsummer Handicap; 6th. EARLY DAWN: Beat only one in Midsummer Handicap. Previout win was against hacks at Oamaru. ' MISJUDGE: Beaten off 7th in Midsummer Handicap, his I first start since his win against hacks at Wingatui. 1 THE MISSIONARY: Showed ability to come from last for 4th in fast-run Midsummer i Handicap. BELLAROOK: Fourth over 7f in Craven Plate. Has grand record at 6f. and should be hard to beat. WARFARE: Has won at Wingatui since her fast-finishing second in the Stewards here in November. Fair sth in Craven Plate. RAE'S HOPE: Did not raise hopes with his eighth in Craven Plate. SHIPMATE: Disappointing In second of two starts at Trentham after fair run for eighth over seven furlongs at first appearance there. Won brilliantly over 6f at Dunedin Cup meeting. CARESTER: Tearaway front runner. Weakened to 10th in Craven Plate, but might be hard to peg back at 6f. VIVIEN ROBE: Could not be fancied on her 7th In Craven Plate. CAPTAIN'S COMMAND: Third in Craven Plate, and will not be opposed this time by Palisade and Hushaway, the two that beat him. GOLD VIEW: Newcomer at the meeting. Failure in weaker field at Kurow last time out. SABELL: Weak run in Craven Plate. TUMBLE: Came from the back for good 6th in Craven Plate. LLAHAWYN: Likely to find this class too strong.
