Accidental Breakage

fN.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 7. A valuable stained glass window smashed in the cathedral on Saturday night was broken accidentally, the Dean of Wellington (the Rev. W. Hurst) said today. “I don’t believe there was any malicious purpose behind it,” he said. The damage had originally been reported as having been caused by vandals. The window is one of a pair presented to the cathedral by the R.N.Z.A.F. They are insured for £l2OO each. A warden of the cathedral said he heard some boys playing outside the cathedral on Saturday night.
