The Moon
Sir,—From a high window overlooking the sea I watched last night the full moon as it rose above the horizon. Never before had it seemed so beautiful, climbing slowly into a cloudless sky. Poor moon, thought I. No longer inviolate. Her secrets revealed. Obliged to suffjr bombardment, however soft, from this so strange world of ours.—Yours, etc., MILLICENT JENNINGS. February 6, 1966.
