GEOGRAPHER DIES
Dr. Gilbert H. Grosvenor -Reuter—Copyright) WASHINGTON, Feb. 6. The colourful life of Dr. Gilbert H. Grosvenor, called the “Geographer to millions,” ended ot Friday at the age of 90. Mr Gnsvenor, the chairman of tie board of trustees of the Mtional Geographic Society, ded at his summer home at Baddeck, Nova Scotia. i His deadi was caused by the infirndkes of old age. Mr Growenor combined half a doan careers in bis life-time—etitor, geographer, educator, sopntist, writer and administrate. He built up the National Geographic Society from 1000 members to some 4.5 m all over the wold. Mr Grosveibr was married to Elsie May jell, daughter of Alexander Gnham Bell, the inventor of telephone.
