£500 Fur Coat Stolen
A chocolate - coloured ermine fur coat, valued at £5OO, was stolen from an unlocked parked car in Cathedral square outside Warner’s Hotel between 7.15 p.m. and 7.25 p.m. on Saturday. A resident of Bishopdale was in the hotel for 10 minutes when he realised that his car was unlocked. He went to the car and found the coat had been taken.
