Took Too Long Settling Down
Marlborough beat the Canterbury women’s second grade softball team, 8-2, in a representative match at English Park on Saturday. Canterbury took two innings to settle into its game. Marlborough scored six runs in this period and although Canterbury later outbatted Marlborough, 5 hits to 3. the early deficit proved too much for the home side to overhaul.
