Prize Three Day Tour

Two Maori painting apprentices from the Christchurch Technical Institute recently spent three days in Wellington as the winners of a travel award sponsored by Taubmans Products.

They were Pari Hunt from Ahititi, Taranaki, and John Ngaire, of Putaruru. Both men gained consistently high marks for training projects.

While in the capital the pair visited a paint factory, a wallpaper factory, took a cable car ride, and went on a sight-seeing tour that included Parliament buildings, the Botanical Gardens, the Victoria University and Dominion Museum.
