FLYING SHEEP
Mr J. R. Todhunter, of Cleardale, Rakaia Gorge, has corrected an impression that a Poll Dorset ram recently flown from Australia to Harewood may have been the first sheep to fly the Tasman.
Mr Todhunter said recently that a Collinsville Merino ram for his father, Mr R. C. Todhunter, of Blackford, was flown across the Tasman in 1951. It was given the name Kingsford-Smith.
