This research will be carried out in conjunction with the Bamberg Observatory, Germany, and will be under the direction of the Astronomer in Charge at Mount John. On expiration of the research grant supporting the research every endeavour will be made, f the appointee is satisfactory, to retain his services on other researches. But no guarantee can be given that this will be 1 possible. 1 The basic requirement is ele- ’ mentary knowledge of Astron- ‘ omy and the ability to handle a f telescope and cameras.
