k k OTAGO HARBOUR BOARD 5 Contract No. 1068 CONSTRUCTION OF BEACH ST. WHARF AND TRANSIT SHED, PORT CHALMERS THE WHARF CONSTRUCTION consists of a 1230 ft long main wharf, and a 255 ft long return angled wharf both in reinforced concrete caisson construction, a 120 ft long cross wharf in steel sheet-piling construction, with concrete deck slab complete with railway and crane tracks, drainage and services. The area of reclamation of harbour basin is approximately 4i acres. The Transit Shed, 500 ft x 100 ft, is in reinforced concrete construction, on hardwood piles, with steel portals. Adjoining this shed is an Office and Amenities Building, 100 ft x 24ft, and two concrete Cargo Platforms. Tenders - are invited for the above Contract, and close at NOON on MAY 2nd, 1966.
