“Slanging," Not “Slandering”
When he spoke at a reception (to the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce trade mission, he had said there could be a “good slanging match,” not "slandering match,” as the reporter had misheard, said Mr H. Baskerville, leader of the mission, yesterday.
"There was no question of slander,” Mr Baskerville said. "We had a good go and no harm was done.”
