A PORTLAND STONE HEAD OF THE QUEEN being cemented into place 120ft above the ground on the north side of the bell tower of Chichester Cathedral in Hampshire. The Royal bust completes the “honourable company” of decorative heads which have been mounted on the bell tower. Among them are busts of some of the craftsmen employed on the cathedral preservation programme, and local dignitaries, including the Dean of Chichester.
