LINNEAN SOCIETY

Honour For N.Z. Worker (N.Z. Press Association) PALMERSTON NORTH, February 3. Dr. K. K. Pandey, a geneticist on the staff of the grasslands division of the D.S.I.R. in Palmerston North, has been elected a fellow of the Linnean Society of London in recognition of his outstanding contributions to knowledge of plant and animal evolution. He is only the second New Zealand worker to be so honoured during the last 17 years. The Linnean Society is a body dedicated to the advancement of the botanical and zoological sciences, and fellowship in the society is one of the greatest distinctions that can be gained in these fields.
