The world record-holders, Ron Clarke (Australia), Michel Jazy (France) and Jurgen May (East Germany) are among six top athletes invited to compete in Kenya’s national championships at Nairobi on July 2. The other three are the British steeplechase champion and Tokyo Olympic silver medallist. Maurice Herriot. Bill Crothers (Canada) and W. D. Baillie (New Zealand).
