The 18-year-old New Zealand badminton champion, J. Compton, of Wellington, will leave by air on February 25 to start a three-month tour of Malaysia. He will be coached there by some of the world’s finest players, including the former AU-England champion, Eddy Cheong. The New Zealand Badminton Federation is assisting with a grant of £lOO. Compton aims to play in the Australian badminton championships on his way home.
