JETMATE IN FORM
Good Gallop At Levin
“The Press” Special Service LEVIN.
Jetmate ran the best final trial of the Wanganui entrants at Levin yesterday morning. He is in the Campbell Handicap. Fast work was done 12 feet out on the course proper. The going was fast. Jetmate (N. E. Eastwood) did not appear to be at a full gallop at any stage of five furlongs in Imin 4sec, the last halfmile in 51sec and the final three furlongs in 3Ssec.
Mukupai <W. D. Skelton) went easily over six furlongs in Imin 22sec. He is in the Earle Handicap, and he should race well in this event.
Worthy Chat, a form runner for the Earle Handicap, covered three rounds at a strong canter. His condition cannot be faulted, and it will be a surprise if he docs not do well.
