Refrigerating Firms Further To 15s 9d

New Zealand Refrigerating firmed further to sell 3d up at 15s 9d yesterday in first Christchurch sales after publication of full accounts for the latest year. South Otago Freezing also firmed 3d to 18s.

The market for New Zealand issues yesterday was slightly less firm than the day before, but still held a good tone. Rises by overseas stocks were just ahead of falls. Key New Zealand stocks added strength to the market.

New Zealand Insurance rose 6d more to 22s 6d. Further gains were also made bv Autocrat. Golden Bay, J. Wattie new, Motor Holdings and N.Z. Forest Products. Motor Holdings added 7d more to 14s 4d—the highest point since mid-December—on interim dividend news. B.H.P. regained more ground and Mount Lyell reflected the stronger home maiket with a rise of 7d to 13s 6d.
