Cabinet To Decide

(N.Z. Press Association)

WELLINGTON, Feb. 3. The Prime Minister, Mr Holyoake, said tonight the Cabinet would make the final decision on which designs for New Zealand’s decimal coinage would be forwarded to the Royal Mint. The Royal Mint Advisory Committee has asked New Zealand to re-draw four of the six designs on its decimal coins.

Mr Holyoake said any re-drawn designs would be submitted to the Cabinet.

In London, an official of the Royal Mint declined to comment on the designs.
