THE NEW LOOK.—The Northern Steamship Company is the first shipping line in New Zealand to paint its name on the hulls of its vessels. The 892-ton motor vessel Poranui arrived in Lyttelton this week. A spokesman for the company said this system, widely used overseas, provides quicker recognition and identification to other shipping and also to the public when ships are berthed.
