THE JOB: The job is that of Travelling Salesman. The salesman is responsible to the Manager. The travelling would involve eight nights a month away from New Plymouth. A Station Waggon is provided for travelling and for personal use. An expense account is provided. REMUNERATION:— This is paid in salary and will be discussed at an interview. The Travel Department includes organisation and supervision of offices at each University, arrangement of travel bookings for students, and the organisation of overseas travel schemes and work-camp projects. The Travel Director will supervise a permanent staff, and will be required to exercise initiative and business ability to expand the Travel Department. No previous experience in the business or travel fields required, but the applicant should, however, have been a student at some stage in his career. Freedom to travel extensively inside New Zealand and overseas is essential, although the office is based in Wellington. Salary subject to negotiation plus liberal fringe benefits and travel allowances.
