Brighter Trend Shown In N.Z. Share Trading

Wide-ranging advances by New Zealand issues—both leaders and second-rank stocks—gave the share market a lift yesterday. Overseas stocks were again steady with rises and falls almost in balance.

Good gains were made by Southland Frozen Meat, up Is 3d at 235, South British, up Is Id at 31s 3d, Golden Bay, up Is Id at 14s lOd, and John Bums, up Is to 245. Other rises by frozen meats were C.F.M., up 3d more at 33s 6d, and the unlisted R. and W. Hellaby, up 9d more at 50s 6d.

C.B.A. again moved up with a 2d rise to 19s 4d, Bank of New South Wales rose Id to 46s 4d, but the rights lost 3d to 19s 9d. Feltex Australia, B.H.P. and E.Z. Industries made up some ground.
