Congo Bans Trade

The Congo has banned all trade with Rhodesia, the Associated Press reported. The sanctions, announced by the Secretary of State to the Foreign Ministry, Joseph Kalumba, include bans on travel, trade and a pledge of assistance tn fellow African States in their efforts at bringing down the illegal regime of Mr lan Smith.
General Dies.—LieutenantGeneral Arthur Percival, aged 78, who commanded Britain’s troops in Malaya when Singapore fell to the Japanese in World War 11, died in London on Monday.—London, February 2.
