PORT MORESBY, Feb. 2.
One thousand acres of land have been set aside in Port Moresby for the establishment of the University of Papua and New Guinea and the Institute of Higher Technical Education. The chairman of the council of the technical institute. Sir Herbert Watkin, said yesterday that he envisaged that “quite a sizeable township will develop adjacent to the land.” The site for the new university and technical institute is at June valley about seven miles from the centre of Port Moresby.
