National Marae
A proposal to establish a national marae at Waitangi, and the future use of the marae reserve set up by the Maori Land Court in 1957 will be discussed at a meeting on the Marae on Saturday. The meeting has been called by the Tai Tokerau District Council and the trustees of the Waitangi National Marae Reserve. Representatives from all tribes have been invited to the meeting, and it is also hoped that the four Northland members of Parliament will be able to attend.— (P.A.)
