Try-Scoring
T’HE greatest try-scoring forward in the history of Rugby League football. M. Martyn (Leigh and Great Britain), announced his retirement earlier this month.
In just under 11 years Martyn scored a total of 207 tries, 177 of them for Leigh. Martyn was signed on in 1952 and made his senior debut in 1954 when only 18. On three occasions he was his club’s leading try-scorer and his total is the" - highest in the club's history.
