New Pill For Motorists
(N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) LONDON, Jan. 17.
A pill which will allow drivers to have one—or more —for the road is being perfected in West Germany, the “Sunday Mirror” reports. Headed by Dr. Heinrich Knapp, a 51-year-old chemist, a team of experts claim the pill reduces blood alcohol by at least 50 per cent. “All you do is take one of the pills about 30 minutes before you start drinking,” said Dr. Knapp. “You are then rid of your worries about police check-ups and perhaps losing your licence.”
