Market Improves As Trading Gains Tempo
Share trading on New Zealand stock exchanges gained tempo yesterday and the market s owe improvement over-all, but the'firmness came from overseas stocks; New Zaland issues were barely steady. Imperial Chemical Industries (N.Z.) advanced 3d on its opening Wellington price to sell at 20s M—the same as in Auckland the day before. Enzlon firmed 3d to 3s 9d. " hile gams were shown by Consolidated Plastics. General Foods, Motor Specialties, Motor Holdings and Neill Cropper. Sharp rises were shown among Australian industrials by Colonial Sugar Refining, up 2s to 565, and W. R. Carpenter, up 3s to 245. Both reflected the trend in Australia. Ampol and Australian Consolidated Industries continued to improve.
