Spain asked Britain yesterday to begin negotiations without delay on the future of Gibraltar, the rock seized by the British in 1704 but claimed by Spain. The British Ambassador. Sir George Labouchere said he received a Note from the Spanish Foreign Affairs Ministry calling for immediate negotiations and repeating a United Nations resolution that urged both countries to begin talks on the issue.
