Ski Tow Firm For Sale

(N.Z. Press Association) ROTORUA, Jan. 17. Ski Enterprises, Ltd., operators of the national downhill tow on Mount Ruapehu, will be put up for sale by tender. Last October Mr R. Turner, the company’s manager, and 767 others, in a petition to Parliament, sought the revocation of licences granted to Ruapehu Alpine Lifts Ltd., in the national downhill area. The petition was presented on October 26, only three days before the 1965 session ended. It is now with the Public Petitions Committee and will be one of the first petitions to be argued when Parliament resumes this year.
