Girl Who Was Deported (N.Z. Press Assn. — Copyriphtt SYDNEY. Jan. 17. Nancy Prasad, the six-year-old Fijian girl who was deported after controversy six months ago, will live in Australia after all. She will be adopted ' ’ England by her brother-in-law, Mr Reginald Powditch, of Glebe, an inner Sydney suburb. Mr Powditch said today he would fly to England to adopt the child. He was confident she would be back in Australia within six or eight months. Mr Powditch said he had arranged for Nancy to visit his brother in England. “The British Home Office has granted Nancy an entry visa and I will fly to England to adopt her,” said Mr Powditch, who is married to Nancy’s sister, Shasi. “I applied for Nancy’s visa soon after she was deported.” He said Nancy would stay with his brother until the adoption papers were processed.
