Department of Scientific and Industrial Research Study Awards VACANCY NO. 54 STUDY AWARDS are available In chemistry, chemical engineering, electrical and mechanical engineering, metallurgy, pedology, physics and agronomy for students who have completed at least one year at University with promising results. Top 1966 Entrance Scholarship students will also be considered when results are known. Awards provide for an allowance of £l5O per annum in addition to any Education Department bursary held. Outstanding graduates may receive £lOO5 a year for M.Sc. study with higher rates for Ph.D. study. The Department offers excellent research opportunities in all branches of chemistry’: physical, organic and inorganic; metallurgy: chemical, electrical and mechanical engineering; plant physiology and geology.
