U.K. Airliner In Kano

A British VCIO je' airliner is reported under detention by rebel forces controlling Kano airport in Nigeria. A spokesman of the British Overseas ,'Jrways Corporation said that on Saturday night the plane’s captain got a message to Accra, Ghana, saying his r’rcraft had been detained but their passengers and crew were safe. He said Kano Airport was “under insurgent control.”

The aircraft had been due in London on Saturday evening.

“Now it may not leave Kano for a day or even a week, I just don't know,” the 8.0.A.C. official said.

B.O.A.C’s only flight to Nigeria last night was cancelled! three hours before it was duej to take off.
