Second, third and fourth years: Training in substation and powerstation construction and operation, draughting office, test and communications laboratories and transmission line construction. (There will also be six months secondment to a reputable firm of electrical contractors for experience in electrical installation and wiring work during this period). • Fifth year: Specialised training in field of own ■hoice, leading to careers in powerstations, substations, test laboratory, draughting office, communications, etc. Apprentices are required to undertake a specially arranged course of study and expected to become registered electricians.
