Lamb Prices Weaken (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 14. In spite of a very good demand this week for New Zealand lamb on the Smithfield Market, London, heavy pitchin gs tended to weaken prices, says the Meat Board’s information service. There was a slow inquiry for New Zealand mutton, but some improvement in demand for ewes. The main grade of hoggets (45-561 b sold at 15d to 16d per lb, wethers were at 14 Jd to 15d per lb and ewes at lid to Hid per lb. Light pitchinigs of New Zealand frozen G.A.Q. ox beef sold at hinds 29d to 30d per lb and fores 2id to 23d per lb. Range of Prices Quotations for New Zealand lamb were:— New Season's .
