Tennis Test At Auckland

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. J. B. Souter, of Wellington, and Miss Alison Glenie, of Auckland, will lead the New Zealand Universities lawn tennis team in its match against Australian Universities at Auckland on Monday. The team is:— Men: Souter, B. Young (Auckland), P. Thompson (Otago), J. Martin (Canterbury). Women: A. Glenie, L. Farrell, P. Rogan (Auckland), C. Johnston (Otago). A second test will be played at Wellington on January 29.

Games Grant.—The Britleb Government has approved a grant of £5OOO towards sending the British team to the Commonwealth Games in Jamaica.
