TOBE AT HAREWOOD

A British Aircraft Corporation B.A.C. 111 short-haul jet aircraft which is coming to New Zealand for the official opening of Mangere Airport will make its first stop at Christchurch Airport on its flight from Britain. and will be based at Harewood during its seven-day stay. The British Aircraft Corpo ration hopes that the Nations Airways Corporation will buj PA.C. 1-11’s to replact Viscounts.

At Harewood the B.A.C. 1-11 will make courtesy flights, and engineering inspections will be arranged for N.A.C. officials. The B.A.C. 1-11 will arrive at Harewood from Sydney early on the afternoon of January 26, and will be at Harewood on January 27 and 28 for demonstration flights land inspections. I On January 29, the'plane 'will fly to Wellington, on to Whenuapai, and then to Mangere for the opening ceremony, and will return to Hare- i . wood that night.
