ROBERTS WINS

Leading O.K. Challenge (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) AUCKLAND. C. A. Roberts, of Auckland, won two races yesterday for a clean sweep in the national O.K dinghy championships at Murray’s Bay and retain the title he won in 1964 and 1965. Roberts will now head a team of six yachtsmen, all from Auckland, who will compete in the contest against Australia at Sydney next Easter. J. Douglas finished second to Roberts in the major championship and won for the third time the championship for yachtsmen under 20. The provisional team for the Sydney contest, with points scored, is:—Roberts, 8955; Douglas, 7170; M. Menzies, 5558; E. Bland, 5142; R. Morton. 5109; M. Paterson, 4818. The placings yesterday were:— Fourth race: Roberts 1: Douglas 2: W. Thompson 3.

Fifth race: Roberts 1 Douglas 2, Morton 3.
