Talks On South Island Air Routes
(New Zealand Press Association* WELLINGTON, January 12. N.A.C. officials will discuss South Island air routes with the Otago Development Council next week.
The deputy-general manager of N.A.C. (Mr L. L. Ford) said tonight that the number of Christchurch-Nelson flights would he increased to six a week from March 1, and to seven a week from about June 1. “No decision has been made on Oamaru. Alexandra and Gore,” he said.
These three centres will be served by S.P.A.N.Z. till that airline closes down at the end of next month. Oamaru and Alexandra may be served by either N.A.C. or Mount Cook Airlines which operates a Queenstown-Dune-din service.
Gore lies outside the network of N.A.C. and Mount Cook Airlines
